Go Local

Reaching out to our own community is vital!

We believe that at the very heart of who we are is a calling to give back to our local community; helping those in our own back yard.  Yes, going on mission trips and work camps are important; however, we need to show love to our immediate neighbors.

Picnic in the Park

Picnic in the Park is a completely FREE picnic in the summer for the city of Frederick and beyond hosted by Frederick Church of the Brethren. This year the whole Frederick community will be invited to Baker Park on Saturday, August 26, 2017, when the Picnic in the Park comes back for an 10th summer.  Activities include petting zoo, massive inflatables, music, lots of free food and more for the whole family. No matter how old you are, there is something for everyone, and it’s all FREE! Rain Location: 201 Fairview Ave, Frederick, MD 21701.

We need your help! You can sign-up here to help that day in person or to give a donation to help make this all possible.

Alan P. Linton Emergency Shelter

The Alan P Linton Shelter, located at 27 DeGrange St., Frederick, MD 2170, serves as an Emergency Shelter during the cold weather months and in 2014, began it's first season as a year round shelter to the homeless. Blessings in a Backpack
