Faithful Doubt: A study in Habakkuk

How can we reconcile what we know about our good God with the moral and social chaos that we see around us? Is it possible to make sense of God’s purposes for His people when those same people grapple with their own sin and failure? The answers—as seen within the writing of the prophet Habakkuk—are both frightening and humbling.

And yet, as we observe troubles around us, we can turn to God in patient hope and prayer—remembering that He is sovereignly working all things toward the fulfillment of His perfect will. And as we develop an eternal perspective, we can rejoice in God’s goodness—even amidst suffering.
